The Gathering of Bees

Bound by this anxious
wanting

I capture the bees
in a jar–tight lid

throw
words against wooden slats

The sun raises an arm over panes
and reflects off a wing –

Diving into days and blowing
watch them clamor   gasp

the sound
that surrounds me

I am known
and place them

across these lines
I hear winds clink

I open the lid
and watch them go.

Passerby

hunched white linen
flaps back
folds
over lace leg

he waits the waddle
stop

if she danced
ago
she's forgotten

how, how
only wind around
moon

and star

face hidden
wired gray

I walk around
Until
